George Kimbrough Jr.
School Board District 5

George Kimbrough Jr. is running for JCPS School Board District 5. Kimbrough is the husband of Kimberly Kimbrough. He is a graduate of Male High School, shortly after graduating he began working at Ford Motor Company Assembly Line, where he has been for the last 8 years. Throughout the years, Kimbrough has always had a passion for empowering the youth and community by encouraging people to believe in themselves and know that everyone is uniquely gifted in their own way. Inspired by the youth, Kimbrough thought that his life path would be to become a basketball coach for middle schoolers. However, once he was surrounded by people involved in the education system, he realized his calling was much bigger than just sports. His goal for the school board district is to not only bring change to JCPS and its future, but to be a listening ear and advocate for the parents and teachers.
